Yr is a collaboration between the Norwegian Broadcasting Corporation (NRK) and the Norwegian Meteorological institute (MET).
The Meteorological institute is responsible for all weather data and content at Yr, while NRKs work involves presentation, design, editioral content and delivery of the forecasts to our users.

In addition to Meteorological institute and NRK, other organizations are also contributing with important content, such as location names, weather data and observations from weather stations.
Yr is using all of their location names from the Norwegian Mapping Authority and GeoNames.
